Our Process

STEP 1
Appointment Setup

Oriole Home & Design’s process begins with the introductory conversation you will have with our Design Specialist upon contacting us. Our Specialist will ask questions to find out the potential scope of work and schedule an appointment with our team in your home.

STEP 2
Complimentary Project Consultation

On the day of the appointment, our Team will meet with you at the job site. This allows us to see the space where the work is to be done and provide us with an understanding of the necessary tasks and teams needed for your project.  We may take a few photos while on site to allow us to coordinate with our team about the project scope of work and what is to be done.  These notes and photos will also allow us to create the best estimate for your project.

STEP 3
Creating your Estimate for the work

Based on the information we collect in the consultation we develop an drawing/sketch for your approval. Once the design of your space is confirmed we will provide you with an accurate estimate using Xactimate software.  This allows for a detailed estimate that encompasses all aspects of your project. We can then set a meeting (in-person, or virtually) to discuss the estimate to make sure there is clarity in our pricing and our project management plan.

STEP 4
Production

Before we begin your project, a construction contract will be presented to you for your signature, this is for the protection of you and the financial commitment you are making to the value of your home.

All of our jobs have a dedicated Project Manager that will be in charge of all aspects of the construction process.  One big part of this role is to manage all subcontractors, or trades, that we hire to do work in your home. Our goal is to make sure the whole process is seamless for you from start to finish.  Our Project Manager also manages necessary building inspections throughout the process, as well as obtaining initial permits.

*In some projects, there are extra filings and forms that need to be handled with the City, Town, State or HOA. It would be at this time, in these cases, that the paperwork will be handled and filed in a timely manner by our team to alleviate that workload from your hands.

STEP 5
Completion and Quality Control

Once the project is complete, our Project Manager and Design Specialist will meet with you as the project is not “officially complete” until you are satisfied. Once you are completely satisfied with our work, the remaining balance of the overall project price is charged
